Bio Simulator

The BIO-SIMULATOR is a bench-scale pilot plant used to study full scale activated sludge plants. It can be used to both design a new plant and optimise conditions within an existing plant.

Each of the following parameters is individually adjustable:

• air quantity
•  water retention time
•  biomass volume
•  feeding volume
•  sludge recycle rate

The unit consists of: a sedimentation tank, an oxidation tank, two pumps (feeding and sludge recycling) and an air flow meter. The feed flow and the recycle flow are adjustable from 1 to 150 ml/min.
