B.O.D. determination
The cap uses a pressure sensor and microprocessor to determine BOD. The cap is fully automated so that an operator need not be present during the test.

The BOD-Cap requires 2 lithium batteries.

Biochemical Oxygen Demand evaluation has to be performed at 20°C for five days during which time the sample must be continuously stirred.

The TOP-STIRR, stainless steel electromagnetic multi-stirrer, is used in conjunction with the BOD cap and the incubators for determination of BOD.

The TOP-STIRR can hold 2 to 6 test samples.
